A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, has congratulated His Royal Majesty, King Festus Babari Paago-Bagia, Gberesaakoo the 13th, Gberemene of Gokana Kingdom in Rivers State.

Abe, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt by his spokesperson, Parry Saroh Benson, said Paago-Bagia’s ascension to the throne of the Gberesaakoo is a demonstration of the people’s confidence and enjoined him to reign over the people with the fear of God.

The senator said, “I have no doubt that your elevation is in recognition of your sterling qualities, peaceful disposition and contributions to peace and development not only of the Gokana Kingdom, but Ogoniland and Rivers State at large”.

“I believe that as a respected royal father, the people of Ogoni and indeed Rivers State stand to benefit immensely from your position on issues of truth, equity and justice”.

Abe, who is also the senator representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, described the recognition as well deserved and urged him to use his experience to enrich the traditional institution in the state while wishing him a glorious and prosperous reign as Gberesaakoo the 13th of Gokana Kingdom.
