Abia Assembly receives Ikpeazu’s list of commissioner nominees

Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has submitted his list of commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Godwin Adindu, said the list was submitted to the Speaker of the state Assembly, Hon. Martins Azubuike, by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Chijioke Nwakodo, and Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Elechi, Wednesday.

The new commissioner nominees follows the dissolution of the cabinet by Governor Ikpeazu which contained commissioners who served in the administration of immediate past governor, Theodore Orji.

It is expected that the list of the Commissioners would be unveiled by the Speaker of the Abia House of Assembly latest by Monday, October 19.
