AMCON seals off Silverbird Group’s assets in P/H, Lagos, Abuja over N11bn debt; We will bounce back – Murray-Bruce reacts

The Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Thursday morning, sealed off the Port Harcourt, in Rivers state, Abuja and Lagos premises of the Silverbird Group belonging to the senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District at the senate, Ben Murray-Bruce.
The companies affected by the takeover include; the Silverbird Galleria Limited, Silverbird Promotions Limited, and Silverbird Showtime Limited.
AMCON had, by notice of appointment dated April 18 appointed Muiz Banire as Receiver/Manager over the sprawling assets of the three companies located at 133 Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, Plot No 1161 (Silverbird Galleria); Central Area Cadastral Zone AOO, Abuja; and Abonnema Wharf Road and Abali Park in Port Harcourt City of Rivers State.
Ben Murray-Bruce, a chieftain of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is popular for ‘Common Sense’ short takes on radio.
Meanwhile, reacting to the sealing of his companies’ properties in the county, via his Twitter handle, Senator Murray-Bruce enthused that with over three decades of operation, Silverbird was bound to encounter challenges, but would overcome them.
“I have been on an international flight and have only just landed. The situation is being resolved and things will be back to normal,” he tweeted.
“In 36 years, Silverbird has grown and like anybody, it will face challenges. Tough times don’t last. But we, as tough people, outlast them.”
