Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has urged Nigerians and all promoters of hate speeches and divisive tendencies to embrace peace, unity and oneness and desist from such in the common interest of the country and future generations.
Dickson said there is so much to achieve in the country by working together as one.
He stated these in Yenagoa while felicitating with Muslims across the country on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr
.
In a statement released in Yenagoa and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Markson Iworison, Gov. Dickson called for more tolerance, unity and peaceful coexistence as they celebrate the festival, emphasizing that no meaningful development can take place without those.
The statement also urged all Muslim faithful to love their brothers and sisters of other religions and see themselves as one at all times.
Dickson maintained that his administration will continue to protect the lives and business interests of all law abiding residents in Bayelsa State including Muslims and wished them a happy celebration.
