Family begs kidnappers to release Bayelsa monarch

Following the abduction of the Paramount Ruler of Biokpnga in Nembe Community, Chief Thirdman Lambert, his sons and other aggrieved family members have appealed to his captors to release the traditional ruler unconditionally.

Mr. Idua Lambert, one of his sons, made the appeal for his father’s release, saying that the entire community have been anxious and worried about his safety and health condition.

He urged the security agencies to redouble their efforts to free the monarch, while also appealing to his abductors to release him unconditionally.

According to Idua, the entire community has been praying earnestly for the safe return of the traditional ruler, even as the development has dampened the mood of his subjects. Reacting to the abduction, spokesman of the Bayelsa Police Command, Mr Asinim Butswat, said that efforts were being made to free the monarch.

Butswat said that the command swung into action immediately it received the report of his kidnap and was making progress in its investigations.

Recall that the traditional ruler had been kidnapped for over13 days even as his whereabouts remain unknown.
