Alhaji Muazu, a strong pillar in the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the State who recently decamped to APC, gave the donation in a brief ceremony at the state secretariat of the party located along Bauchi road in Gombe.

The donation which was made in cash by Alhaji Habu’s representative, Alhaji Abdulrahman Bello, shows that each of the 11 chairmanship candidates received N100, 000 each while those for deputy chairmanship got N30, 000. Those seeking for the position of Councilors, 114 in number, all received N20, 000, while all the 114 ward chairmen of the party also went away with N5, 000 each.

Alhaji Abdulrahman Bello Akko while presenting the donations on behalf of Alhaji Abubakar Muazu, said he gave the donation to support the aspirations of the candidates and to further strengthen the party’s quest to sweep the council election.

While commending leaders of the APC in the state for conducting a rancour free and fair party primary that saw to the emergence of various candidates gunning for the positions of Chairmen, deputy chairmen and Councilors, Alhaji Muazu however appealed for calm for a peaceful conduct of the exercise.
