The Governor of Enugu State Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has called on all Christians in the state to continue to pray for peace and stability in the country to enhance development.
The governor observed that he can not do any thing on his own in moving the state forward without the help of God, adding that prayers and good counsel are paramount to selfless and effective service to humanity.
Governor Ugwuanyi in a speech when the executive members of Christ Embassy Enugu paid him a courtesy call at the Government House Enugu noted that Christians should not relent in lifting the leaders up to God in prayers to ensure God’s guidance and protection at all times.
He applauded the executives of Christ Embassy for their contributions in the area of community development and other laudable projects they have executed in the past for the well being of the state, expressing the hope that such gesture should sustain.
In an address the Pastor in-charge of Christ Embassy Enugu, Pastor Chiemeka Ikenna explained that the purpose of their visit was to identify with the state on the occasion of the 55th Independence celebration and also to reach out Nigeria Rhapsody of Realities Movement, the cause mean to ensure that every Nigerian get a copy of Rhapsody Devotional for the enrichment of people’s spiritual lives.
Pastor Chiemeka affirmed that over 30 million copes of the Rhapsody Devotional are to be distributed across Nigeria on the occasion of Independent celebration, adding that the church has also embarked on other community development projects which included building of schools, health care in rural communities, distribution of communication gadgets to various security agencies, building of chapels for the rehabilitation of prisoners, all in their effort to
contribute their quota towards the socio-economic development of the state.
The clergy praised Governor Ugwuanyi for his exemplary style of leadership and promised to continue to pray for his successful administration in the state.
