Rivers State Governor, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has approved the appointment of 39 persons as Special Advisers. A statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Governor, Electronic Media, listed the nominees as:

The statement by Nwakaudu informed that the Special Adviser Nominees  will be sworn-in by Governor Wike on Monday, November 20, 2017 by 11am at the Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Port Harcourt.
