Late Imam Dalhatu Imam was part of my struggle for position of Speaker – Gov. Tambuwal

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state has finally spoken and revealed that his former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity who died in an Abuja Hospital recently, Mallam Imam Dalhatu Imam was part of his struggle to become the the Speaker of the 7th House of Representatives.

According to Tambuwal, the late Imam shunned all forms of fraudulent advancies from political opponents and ensured maximum productiveness in his responsibility as the image maker of Speaker.
Tambuwal spoke at a memorial Lecture and Special Prayer organised by the Sokoto State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, in honour of late Imam Imam.
Imam who subsequently became Governor Tambuwal’s Media Adviser in 2015 was described at the occasion by the various speakers as humble, honest, trustworthy, hardworking, religious and devoted to his family.
 Governor Tambuwal further  told media practitioners, politicians, well wishers and other admirers of the late Imam Imam  that many politicians had offered him persons with higher ranks in journalism for the position but that he appointed Imam in view of the qualities he identified in him.
Earlier, Chairman, Sokoto State Council of NUJ, Malam Isa Shuni, said the Memorial Lecture marked the commencement of Sokoto NUJ’s Press week scheduled to run from May 4th to 9th, 2018.
