Marie Chantal Messier becomes Head Corporate Communications & Public Affairs, Nestlé in Central and West Africa.

Marie Chantal Messier has been appointed Head, Corporate Communications & Public Affairs of Nestlé in Central and West Africa.

She takes over from Mrs. Peggy Diby, who is now working as Senior Spokesperson for Nestlé’s Headquarters in Switzerland.

After almost 20 years working for various public sector organisations, Marie Chantal Messier joined Nestlé in 2013 as Senior Public Affairs Manager in the conglomerate’s Headquarters.

She was formerly at the World Bank as Senior Nutrition Specialist (covering Latin America, the Caribbean, Northern Africa, South Asia) and also held the following positions: Senior Associate for the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) in Geneva, Micronutrient Expert at the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Haiti, Country Director for Helen Keller International (HKI) in Guinea and Sierra Leone, Project Manager at the Centre Canadien d’Étude de Coopération Internationale (CECI) in Mali and Health Educator for the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) in her home country, Canada.

This, she says, would be like a return to a region she knows well and loves.
