The Managing Director/CEO of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) Plc, Mr. Nobert Bielderman has submitted notice of his letter of resignation to the company
A statement signed by Mr. Tayo Ajakaiye, Manager, Corporate Communications and Services, published by the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), said that Bielderman gave three months’ notice and would disengage formally from the company on 31 August 2017.
The statement noted that Bielderman joined Nacho Aviance in May 2010. He was appointed Executive Director Operations on 6th December 2013 and was named acting MD/CEO on December 2014. His appointment as MD was confirmed in April 2015.
The Nacho Aviance Board following its 17th May 2017 meeting, also announced other changes, including the retirement of Mr. Faruk Umar and his replacement with Mr. Sunny Nwosu. Umar, who served as a director, representing minority shareholders on the board of Nacho Aviance, was appointed to the board on 22nd June 2011.
The company said that with eye on tapping from emerging opportunities in the energy and aviation sectors, the board also approved the immediate appointment of Mrs. Folashade Ode as the new acting MD/CEO of NAHCO Aviance Energy, Power and Infrastructure (EPI).
The company noted in the statement that the resignation of its current CEO, has triggered the company’s succession plan, taking into account that the regulators, including the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), among others are moderating developments as the new MD/CEO would be announced soon by the company, following confirmation by the regulators.
