The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Friday night, confirmed that about 27 persons died and 96 injured in the suicide bomb attack at the newly-opened Jambutu Mosque in Adamawa State during Friday afternoon’s Juma’at prayer.
The agency also said that the injured victims were evacuated to Federal Medical Centre, Yola and the Specialist Hospital Jimeta.
The explosion occurred during Jumuat Service at a mosque in Jambutu area of Jimeta, a suburb of Yola, the Adamawa State capital in Nigeria’s North-East.
The mosque was recently rehabilitated and the explosion occurred at the perimeter of the crowded mosque.
