Nigerian international, Osaze Odemwingie has donated several food items and a cash gift to Iwinosa Orphange,Benin city as part of his contribution to the upliftment of the less privileged.
He said the less privileged ones must be integrated into the larger society by showing them love and kindness.
The Super Eagles striker and Stoke City star added that having been exposed to various sides of life, life to him will only make a meaning if smiles can be put on the faces of less privileged children
Represented by Coach Austine Eguavoen,the prolific striker said “Its important to me that these children are happy. I believe in the children,one cannot tell what the future holds for each and everyone of us.
“I see in them great men and women, who will excel in their chosen careers including football. I believe in developing the children and this is just a way of giving back to the society.
“Good to see that the children are doing great and happy too,also as part of my little contribution to making them happy in this home,because I understand that the rent is almost expiring,is to pick the bill and renew them.” Osaze said
Some of the items donated includes cartoons of Indomie,bags of rice,toiletries,baby food and wipes including gerricans of cooking oil among others
He was accompanied by Austine Uabor and Anthony Emoedefo aka Poropo
Responding,the proprietor of the home, Mrs Veronica Egbon, thanked the donor and blessed God for his life for remembering the children in their time of need.
