General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has led the hug congregation of the Church worldwide to offer prayers for divine healing for ailing President Muhammadu Buhari.

This is as the President was spotted attending the Juma’at prayer at the State House Mosque on Friday, May 5, 2017. He had been out of public view  recently, not having presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC, meetings three times in a row and not attending the last Jum’at prayer .

His absence at these functions had heightened anxiety concerning the state of his health, despite assurances by his media aides and the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed that there was no cause for alarm over the President’s health.

A meeting in Minna, the Niger State capital between former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalaam Abubakar, believed to have been prompted by the state of health of President Buhari further heightened the level of anxiety of Nigerians.

His appearance at Friday’s Juma’at prayer, considerably doused the tension and anxiety that was fast building up.

At last Friday’s, May, edition of the monthly Holy Ghost Service, Pastor Adeboye led the massive crowd of worshippers that thronged the new ultra-modern auditorium of the church on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway as well as those at the numerous viewing centres across the world to intercede for President Buhari for the miracle of divine healing.

The highly respected cleric, one of whose senior Pastors, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, is Vice President of Nigeria, also led the congregation to pray for divine intervention concerning the recovery of the country’s economy which is officially in recession.

The theme of the May Holy Ghost Service was Abba Father Part 4.
