The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has postponed the conduct of the re-run election earlier scheduled for Saturday, 5th March, 2016 for the Anambra Central Senatorial District.

The postponement is in view of the order of an Abuja High Court restraining the Commission from going ahead with the exercise.

According to the National Commissioner in charge of the Operations Committee, Hajiya Amina Bala Zakari, the Commission is yet to determine a date for the conduct of the said election.
