New zoning formula for NWC positions will invigorate us — South West PDP

Southwest zone of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has assured that the newly-adopted zoning formula for sharing of offices at the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party will not relegate it to the background, as it stated that the move would instead further invigorate the zone.
National Vice Chairman, Southwest, Mr Makanjuola Ogundipe, who said this in a statement in Ado Ekiti Thursday, said the positions of Publicity Secretary, National Auditor and National Secretary allotted to the zone placed it in good stead in the party.
The party leader assured the members that they would toe the line of fairness in the distribution of the positions among member states, for better cohesion and understanding in the national politics.
Ogundipe said part of the resolutions reached at the extended meeting held in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State on Wednesday, May 4 was that, the zone must continue to foster unity and retain the present zonal leadership till the expiration of its tenure in October, 2018.
The National Vice Chairman said the zone declared support for the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Ali Modu Sheriff, saying his leadership has the capacity to reinvigorate the party and make it formidable to reclaim the country back from the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2018.
