Bauchi police confirm release of kidnapped school Principal from kidnappers

Bauchi State Police Command has confirmed the release of the kidnapped Principal of Government Day Secondary School, Lere in Tafawa Balewa LGA ,Iliyasu Suleiman from his kidnappers.
The PPRO, DSP Ahmed Wakiki who confirmed Suleiman’s release said that the 50 year old Iliyasu Suleiman was kidnapped eight days ago in Bauchi state and he was freed in the wee hours of Saturday.
However, he said details were still sketchy on whether any ransom was paid to secure his release.
Speaking also to pressmen, a family source confirmed that Iliyasu Suleiman regained his freedom in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to the source, “our brother has been released and has returned home. The family will meet later to discuss the developments, definitely, at end of the meeting, we will get back to you”.
The family source thanked all those who did one thing or the other which culminated into the safe return of their brother from the den of the kidnappers though he said that he was really traumatized.
