RCCG’s 70th Anniversary, 2022 Annual Convention end with ordination of 2,051 full Pastors (See pictures)
The historic 70th Anniversary celebration of the founding of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and 2022 Annual Convention of the global Church rounded off on Sunday, August 14, 2022, on a glorious note with an Ordination and Thanksgiving Service.
The closing Service featured the award of prizes for the best contestants in different areas and categories, including Sunday School, academics, sports, choir, House Fellowship, music and football.
It also featured the ordination of 2,051 full Pastors of the Church and a colorful Thanksgiving Service.
The General Overseer (G.O), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye used the occasion to thank all those who made the program a huge success. He specially recognised the Sanitation Department whose members were at work 24/7 throughout the Convention, the Kitchen staff that served the millions of people who trooped into the Redemption City for the weeklong programme, and very specially, the Prayer Department, which he described as the engine room of the Convention.
He acknowledged that all the other Departments also performed excellently, including the Ushers who were standing almost all the time and the Mass Choir, who he insists are the best Choir in the world.
As he rounded off the Convention that attracted worshippers from far and near, including Ministers and congregants from many countries of the world, Pastor Adeboye thanked God for all He had done, for the spectacular testimonies of the faithfulness of God, for the miracles, the signs and wonders, as well as for the incredible crowd control, and especially the Divinely orchestrated security cordon around the massive Campground.
The huge crowd that filled the old and new auditoriums to the brim stayed on till the G.O pronounced the last blessings to signal the end of the landmark programme, which had as its theme, Perfect Jubilee.
