A refreshingly different art Exhibition is being mounted in Luanda, the capital city of Angola, by Jakada Khalfani, the oldest son of Dr. Akil Khalfani, the Director of the Africana Institute of the Essex County College, Newark, New Jersey, United States of America (USA).

The first solo Exhibition by Jakanda, a hugely talented painter, who holds a Bachelors degree in Industrial Design, and has been in Angola for three months now, is titled UNDIVIDED ATTENTION, and starts today, Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Movart Gallery Marginal.

The MOVART project, according to information about the Gallery, started in 2015 “with the purpose of promoting experimental and itinerant exhibitions, in and around the city of Luanda.”

With a mission “to ensure that the world gets to know contemporary art that is produced in countries on the African continent and by artists from the African and Portuguese-speaking diasporas,” Movart is all set to play host to the inspired works of Jakada Khalfani.
