Police recruitment: Successful candidates start training Saturday

Successful candidates of the just concluded 2022 Police Recruitment exercise are expected to resume training this Saturday, August 10th, 2024 in different Police Colleges in the country. The resumption will last from the 10th to the 20th of August.

The candidates expected to report for training are those who confirmed their status in the Police Recruitment Portal: https://apply.policerecruitment.gov. ng. The names of the candidates are already with the Management of the Colleges and the Colleges will only admit persons whose names are on their lists.

The Commission, according to a statement by Ikechukwu Ani, its Head, Press and Public Relations, “wishes to state that it has rested the previous Portal, www.policeservicecommission.cloud where names were initially released after an elaborate meeting with the Police Management and where it was agreed that the Portal used from the beginning of the exercise should be sustained till the end to ensure fairness, justice and inclusivity in the recruitment process.

“Only candidates whose names appeared on the agreed Portal or who received official messages inviting him/her to report at the Colleges will be allowed for the training.

“Messages are currently being sent to successful candidates including Specialists who are to report for training between the 28th of September and 10th of October, 2024.

“PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu rtd says the candidates should ensure that they report to the Colleges at the exact dates required of them,” the statement stressed.

He said the Commission will continue to monitor their progress throughout their stay in the training Colleges to ensure they come out fully prepared to serve the nation and contribute to the fight to rescue the nation from banditry and terrorism.

Dr. Argungu said the Commission’s staff would be sent to the Colleges to monitor their conduct and disposition to the training.

He assured that the Commission will continue to provide the enabling environment for them to give their best to the Nigerian nation.

He congratulated them on their success throughout the stages of the recruitment and enjoined them to be committed to the training so that at the end of the training exercise they would have improved themselves and be ready to face the challenges that are ahead of them.
