Nigeria’s Consul General in New York, three New Jersey Mayors, other dignitaries to grace Lord & Nikes’ event
Nigeria’s Consul General in New York, United States of America (USA), Ambassador Abubakar Jidda will be the Guest Speaker at the 2024 Annual Nigeria Independence Day Celebration program of Lords and Nikes in New Jersey, United States of America (USA), on Saturday, October 26.
The high-profile event, which will also have in attendance as Guests of Honor, Mayor Derek Armstead of the City of Linden, Hon. Mayor Ras Baraka of the City of Newark and Mayor Donald A. Shaw of Rosselle, has as theme: “Shine Back to Your Root Nigerians in Diaspora.”
Equally expected to grace the Dinner and Award Night as Guests of Honor are Bishop Julius Abiola, Presiding Bishop, Christ Life Bible Ministries, HRM Oluwagbohun Adebayo, Omojogunola the Orisango of Sangoland, Rev. Louise-Scott Roundtree, Council Woman, City of Newark, New Jersey and Ligia DeFreitas, Deputy Mayor, City of Newark.
At the program, which will take place at JOHN T GREGORIO CENTER, 330 Helen St., Linden, New Jersey, 07036, USA from 5pm-9pm (EST), special prayers would be said for Nigeria, while some individuals who have distinguished themselves in diverse areas of life would receive awards.
Among those to receive awards are Dr. Adeniyi Ogunkoya, a distinguished Medical Practitioner (Gate Keeper Award), Pastor Michael Kehinde Ogunleye, President, New Jersey Clergy Alliance (Gatekeeper Award), Simon Ibe, Global Patriot (Pacesetter Award), Dr. Yetunde Odugbesan-Omede (Pacesetter Award), Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Anyanwu (Golden Heart Award) and Dr. Oluyemi Badero, President/CEO, Cardiac Specialists, Brooklyn (Golden Heart Award).
