The Knights of St John International (KSJI) kicked off her 83rd International – 57th Biennial Convention, Ladies Auxiliary 62nd International Convention, Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the Double Tree by Hilton Newark Airport Hotel. The program will end on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
A statement said that brothers and sisters of the Knights of St John International and Ladies Auxiliary from all over the world have since been coming into Newark and USA with great expectations. And expected to open the convention is the Supreme President, General Thomas Deluca, with members of the Supreme Executive Board, including Lt Gen. Martin Bella (Supreme1st Vice President), Lt Gen. Patrick Igwilo, (Supreme 2nd Vice President) and Lt Gen. Chijioke Okafor (Supreme Secretary).
Others are Lt Gen. Terry MacCann (Supreme Treasurer), Maj. Gen. Don Anigbogu (Supreme Trustee), Maj. Gen. Gerald Ganda (Supreme Trustee) and General Tim Hoerst (Past Supreme President and Supreme Convention Chairman). There will also be members of the Ladies Auxiliary led by Noble Sister Iris Turner (Supreme President, Ladies Auxiliary), and Yvonne Branch (Supreme Secretary, Ladies Auxiliary).
Expected also are members of the Supreme Advisory board, Supreme Subordinate Presidents from all the countries involved, and Grand Presidents of the Grand Commanderies.
Events lined up for the convention include but are not limited to morning masses each day, meetings of the Supreme Board, and Advisory Board, welcome party, memorial mass for the repose of the souls of deceased members and Eucharistic mass at the Archdiocese of Newark.
Brothers and sisters, the statement stressed, are looking forward to a memorable week-long convention full of convivial and spiritual discussions that has as theme: PEACE, UNITY, AND LOVE.
According to the statement by 1st Lt Lawrence Ibe, Secretary, 2026 KSJ Supreme Convention, the Local Organizing Committee Chairman, Brigadier General Charles Abiakwe, has assured that the New Jersey Convention “is going to be a one-of-a-kind convention.”
