Umahi, in an Easter message dated March 23, said it was very important for all Ebonyians and other Nigerians to be prayerful and always remember that the death and ascension of Jesus Christ liberated “us from sins.”
He also used the opportunity to praise Ebonyians for their unflinching support for his administration, noting that the successes he had so far recorded would not have been possible without them.
The governor said, “As we celebrate the death, resurrection and ascension into heaven of our Lord Jesus Christ, which ultimately liberated us from sins, I enjoin you all to always meditate on the central message and the purpose of the birth, death and resurrection of Christ by ruminating on the essence of life and by being prayerful.”
The governor maintained that since their lives and property were of paramount importance, his administration, in conjunction with security agencies in the state, were working hard to ensure a crime-free Ebonyi State.
