According to a statement jointly signed by the state chairman and Secretary of the Association of presidents-general of Town Unions in the state, Chief Paully l. Eze and Mr. Ben Onuabuchi, respectively after their state executive meeting in Enugu, they observed that “in spite of the harsh economic condition of the state in particular and our nation generally, Rt. Hon, Ugwuanyi has embarked on high quality massive road constructions in all the senatorial districts of the state”.
The town union leaders said they are also thrilled by the “radical innovation in the education sector and prompt payment of salaries of workers” by the administration when most state governments cannot pay salaries not to talk of embarking on visible projects.
They noted further with appreciation the zeal with which the governor tackles security of lives and properties of citizens of Enugu State, particularly in the areas of control of criminal activities of suspected Fulani herdsmen, armed robbery and kidnapping which have been reduced to the barest minimum in the state.
According them, the association has followed with keen interest, the governor’s self-effacing stance in his promptness in responding to any security alarm raised in any part of the state “as if he himself is a security operative”, urging him to continue in that manner to let the state retain its enviable status as one of the safest states in the country.
On his style of governance that has endeared him to the people of the state, the town union leaders stated that “he has assured equitable distribution of social amenities, appointments and other democratic dividends to all the zones of the state”, and that he has been seen to be practically marching his words with action.
