Manchester City may have missed out on all three points when they hosted Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday, but things would have been a lot worse had Kelechi Iheanacho not struck a fine second-half equaliser.
Saints took the lead through Nathan Redmond, and after labouring for an equaliser, City finally found a way back into the match when Iheanacho reacted quickest to fire Leroy Sane’s cross past Fraser Forster.
The strike was the attacker’s third of the season in the Premier League. To date he’s also contributed three assists in seven appearances—and he looks on course to beat last season’s tally of eight goals in the top flight.
