Former Governor of Bauchi state Isa Yuguda has fixed November 24 this year for his homecoming to the state.

Addressing newsmen Monday in Bauchi, the former commissioner of information in the state, Alhaji Salisu Barau who disclosed this said all plans have been concluded to organize a grand reception in honour of their political mentor.

According to him, the former governor would spend about three days in the state in order to meet his family members, relatives, friends, associates, supporters and well wishers whom he was unable to interact with for a long time while he was abroad.

Yuguda’s homecoming has nothing to do with any political motive, he said, stressing that it was not intended to cause chaos or disrupt the relative peace in the state, adding that they have written to all security agencies informing them of his coming and its purpose.

Barau however alleged that there was a plot by the Special Assistant to the incumbent governor Mohammed Abubakar on youths to hire thugs to stage a protest against the coming of their boss and or clash with his supporters with a view to perpetrating mayhem.

According to him, “I want people to know that Malam Isa Yuguda is not coming to disrupt the relative peace in the state and his coming has no political motive. He is an indigene of the state and is coming to see his relatives, friends and well wishers. You all know that he has been out of the country for medical attention. He is now well and wants to come and meet with his people.”

Barau then called on the people of the state to come out en mass to give the former governor warm reception on Thursday and the security operatives to provide adequate protection through out his three days stay in the state.

He also appealed to their supporters to remain calm and law abiding.
