A group, concerned Esan Central professionals, based in Benin City, the Edo state capital has called for the recall of the member representing the constituency at the state House of Assembly, Victor Tiger Edoro
The group in a statement signed by its protem chairman, Odion Oseghale, a copy of which was made available to newsmen described the action of the lawmaker as embarrassing to the people of the consistency.
The statement added that his continued stay as a lawmaker will further cause the constituency it’s right to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
The statement reads in part: “It has come to our attention as concerned stakeholders in the social, cultural and economic development of Esan central constituency in Edo state the manner of representation of Hon Victor Tiger Edoro.
‘”We have observed with disdain the unproductive and what seems to be a clueless direction of the member representing our constituency even in height of him leading the house as Speaker.
“We recall the series of embarrassments caused by him to other legislators which led to his removal as speaker.
“It is still very fresh in our minds the phantom of financial impropriety, lack of leadership qualities and allegations of abuse of office subsequently leading to the house setting up a panel of inquiry to investigate him and his failure to appear before the panel.
“It is even a fact that he has not shown any evidence of legislation on the floor of the house viz a viz attracting dividends of democracy to his constituency.”
