The Bauchi State Government under the leadership of Governor Mohammed A. Abubakar (Sarkin Bauran Katagum) has confirmed the appointment of Alhaji Umar Muhammad Kabir Umar II as the 12th Emir of Katagum. This is following the recommendation of the Katagum Emirate Kingmakers.
The letter of confirmation was personally delivered by the Secretary to the Bauchi State government, Alhaji Muhammad Nadada Umar.
