Buhari presides over “Special FEC;”Decorates new IGP; Lays Wreath to mark end of 2018 Armed Forces Remembrance Day; Receives new e-passport

President Muhammadu Buhari, Tuesday, presided over a special meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Also Tuesday, the President participated in the Wreath Laying ceremony to mark the end of the 2018 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebrations at the National Arcade, Eagle Square, Abuja alongside Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, the now out gone Inspector General of Police, IGP, Idris Kpotun and other dignitaries.
He also decorated the new IGP, M. A. Adamu, who has now assumed office.
FEC meetings usually hold on Wednesdays but late last year, a Special FEC meeting was convened on a Friday to discuss and approve the 2019 budget proposal.
However, the agenda of Tuesday’s meeting which started at about 3.20 p.m., was not disclosed.
Those that attended the meeting include Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and Head of Service of the federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita.
Others were Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari, National Security Adviser to the President, retired Maj.-Gen. Babagana Munguno as well as cabinet ministers and some presidential aides.
