Commander 2 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brig. Gen. Hassan pledges to synegize with Police to fight crime in Akwa Ibom

The Commander, 2 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Ibrahim Abdu Hassan, has paid a courtesy call on the Commissioner of Police Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Don Awunah, on April 18, 2017 and pledged the readiness of the Brigade to collaborate with the Police in the fight against crime and criminality in the state.
According to a statement by DSP Chukwu Ikechukwu, Police Public Relations Officer Akwa Ibom Command, CP Don Awunah, in his response, stated that the hallmark of internal security is inter-agency collaboration.
He further assured the Brigadier General that as a lead agency in internal security, the Police will always partner with the Nigerian Army to achieve national growth in the area of law Enforcement and Crime prevention.
CP Don Awunah further assured the members of the Public that the command has put in place an intelligent team and also activated all the tactical teams in efforts to reduce crime in the state.
He therefore, implored law abiding citizens to co-operate with the Police and provide necessary information.
It is important to emphasis that crime prevention and control is a collective responsibility.
