The Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Kogi State, has extended warm felicitations to its Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Emeritus Professor Olu Obafemi, on the occasion of his 76th birthday.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff, and Students, the Vice-Chancellor, Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu described the celebrant as a visionary leader whose immense contributions have continued to shape the growth and development of the University.
He noted that as the pioneer Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Prof. Obafemi has provided exceptional leadership, guiding the institution with wisdom, integrity, and a strong commitment to excellence. According to him, the University has recorded remarkable milestones under his stewardship, reflecting his distinguished legacy in education and national service.
“We celebrate with immense delight and profound respect our esteemed Pro-Chancellor, whose visionary guidance and unwavering commitment have been instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of CUSTECH Osara,” the Vice-Chancellor stated.
Prof. Salawu further emphasized that the achievements recorded by the University stand as a testament to Prof. Obafemi’s dedication to institutional governance and his passion for advancing educational standards in Nigeria.
“The significant milestones recorded by the University under his leadership are a true reflection of his legacy of excellence, dedication, and service to education and humanity,” he added.
