All set for Nigeria at 62 Flag Raising in New Jersey today, Thursday

All is set for the Nigerian National Flag Raising Ceremony for year 2022 in New Jersey, United States of America (USA), today, Thursday, October 20, 2022.

The occasion, which is in celebration of Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Anniversary, will take place at the Newark City Hall, Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey between 4:00 PM and 6:00PM (EST).

Being organised by the New Jersey Chapter of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Americas (NIDOA), the program has as its theme, “Hurdling to Glory” and will have Dr. Yetunde Odugbesan-Omede, Professor of Global Affairs and Political Science as the Keynote Speaker.

Other dignitaries expected to feature at the event, include Nigeria’s Ambassador to the US, Amb. Dr. Chidinma Emenike, Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amb. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, Nigeria’s Consul General in New York, Amb. Lot Egopija and Mayor Ras Baraka of the City of Newark.

Equally listed as expected are Hon. (Dr.) Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Engr. Tope Esan, Chairman, NIDOA Board of Directors, Bartholomew Shepkong, NIDOA BoT Chairman and world hurdles sensation, Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan.
