Governor Wike to swear in RSIEC members on Saturday

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike will on Saturday, February 3, 2018 swear in the following as members of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) at the Executive Council Chamber of the Government House Port Harcourt by 6pm.

The RSIEC members who were screened and confirmed by the Rivers State House of Assembly include:

1. Dr Reginald Amadi

2. Professor Jones M. Jaja

3. Rev. Innocent Karibo

4. Mrs Florence Amiesimaka

5. Mr Etete Festus

6. Prof Ezioma Ekpete

It will be recalled that the Rivers State House of Assembly approved the request of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for the removal of the following as members of RSIEC in public interest. Those removed as members of RSIEC are:

A. Chimaroke Mgbah

B.Engr Kombo Johnson

C. Mr Ugbana Martins

D. Dr Robinson Olulu

E. Chief Kingsley Stanley Obudibo

F. Dr. Mrs Juliet C. Berewari.

Those screened and confirmed as new members of RSIEC are expected to be seated at the Executive Council Chamber of Government House Port Harcourt by 5.30pm for the swearing in programme.
