Mbaise Association of New Jersey, Inc., organized their New Yam Festival, Iriji Mbaise-2018 on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in a glamorous fashion.
The well attended cultural festival took place at the New Community Neighbourhood Center, 58-68 Hayes Street, Newark, New Jersey.
On hand to ensure a perfect event were the Chairman, Mbaise Association of New Jersey Incorporated, Chief Patrick Onwunaka, Ezeji Mathias Uzoaru, Vice Chairman, Chief (Mrs.) Chima Anyanwu-Irowa, DOS/PRO, Dim Chijike Ndukwu, General Secretary, Gov. Chris Ejekwu, Prince Emeka Emenyonu, Mr. Canice Ibe, Chief Ngozi Onyegbule, Mr. Aloy Amaechi and Multiple Chief Kelechi Onyegbule.
Among the dignitaries that graced the program were Chief and Lolo John Anyanwu, who chaired the event, Dr. Iwuozor Obilo, Dr. Ignatius Njoku, Rev. Dr. Erasmus Okere, Hon. Ugo Nwokoro, Sir Clem Eze, Sir Emma Ibe and Sir Emma Owowo.
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of Awards to deserving members, including Multiple Chief Kelechi Onyegbule for his commitment and dedication to the Association as its Chairman from 1997 to 1999 and to Mazi Ejike Enwereuzo for Community Leadership.
