Nigerian stars win big at 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards

Nigerian music stars P-Square, Davido, Yemi Alade, D’Banj, Mavins crew, Saturday night carted home huge laurels at the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) held in Durban, South Africa.

The artistes including Patoranking, led in the several categories in Africa’s biggest music award ceremony aimed at rewarding excellence in the continent’s music industry.

Davido emerged the Best Male Act for a second time while Yemi Alade took home the award for Best Female Act.

Don Jazzy-led the Mavins won Song of the Year category with their hit single ‘Dorobucci’. Dapo Oyebanji popularly known as Dbanj won the Evolution category but the biggest winners were twin bombers P-Square, who carted home the Best Group and Artist of the Decade awards.

The award ceremony saw live performances from international acts Neyo and Jhene Aiko.
