Opposition parties pass vote of confidence on Tambuwal

Opposition parties in Sokoto State under the aegies of the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC), on Thursday passed a vote of confidence on Gov. Aminu Tambuwal.

Addressing a Press Conference in Sokoto, its Secretary-General, Alhaji Abba Sidi said: “The press conference is aimed at chronicling the giant strides of the APC-led administration in the state since May,2015.

“Aminu Tambuwal’s commendable efforts in bringing utmost peace, stability and prosperity in the state are very well known to all well-meaning people of the state and resident communities.

“We are therefore urging the able Governor to maintain such laudable tempo, for the sustenance of peaceful coexistence among the entire people of the state.

“Without mincing words, the governor has impacted positively on various spheres that include Education,Poverty Eradication, Science and Technology, Agriculture, Healthcare, Women and Youth Affairs, among others.”

Sidi added that the members of the committee recently undertook a statewide monitoring tour of myriad of projects executed by Tambuwal.

Sidi, who is also the state chairman of the Nigeria Conscience Party (NCP), said that the monitoring tour was aimed at “seeing things for ourselves.”

Sidi said the members were convinced that the projects, “were tangible and people-oriented.

“We, as patriotic Nigerians urge the people to deeply pray for continuous peace and stability of Sokoto state, as well as Nigeria in general,” he said.
