Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, has donated items worth millions of Naira to physically challenged persons across the state.
The Governor donated the items to mark his 60th birthday celebration. While speaking during the donation at the multipurpose indoor sports hall in Bauchi, he said that he is committed to making life better not only for the physically challenged people but also for every citizen of the state.
He added that he was ready to take the state to greater heights and called for the support of all and sundry in the task ahead and expressed gratitude to Allah for taking thus far.
The governor also celebrated his 60th birthday a week earlier with a Golf Kitty at the Bauchi Golf and Country Club.
He also commissioned blocks of classrooms at his mother’s village at Wuro Modibbo Abba in Akko Local government of Gombe State.
Items including Braille Typewriters and other support gadgets were also donated to the Special School for the physically challenged in Bauchi.
Other items donated to the physically challenged at the occasion include Sewing Machines, Bicycles for lame people and Grinding Machines.
