Prof. Anthony Anwukah’s wife, Justice Christiana, for burial October 9, 2020

Hon. Justice Christiana Ukachi Anwukah, the wife of Professor Anthony Gozie Anwukah, former Minister of State for Education in Nigeria (2015 -2019), will be laid to rest on Friday, October 9, 2020.

Professor Anwukah, who was also Secretary to the Imo State Government for four years under Governor Rochas Okorocha and Vice Chancellor of the Imo State University, Owerri, Nigeria, announced the rites of passage of his wife on behalf of the Anwukah and Ihekwoaba families who are mourning the demise of their Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Mother-in-Law, Grand Mother, Aunt and friend after a brief illness.

Justice Anwukah, aged 63, who was President of the Imo State Customary Court of Appeal, Owerri before she took ill, will be interred at the Anwukah Family Home, Egbuoma, Oguta, Imo State after a Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Egbuoma, Oguta at 11 am.

To honor Justice Anwukah, there will be a Valedictory Court Session at the Justice Oputa High Court Complex, Owerri on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 10 am and a Service of Songs at the Kelani Events Centre, New Owerri on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 5 pm.

According to the program of events released by Professor Anwukah, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the social distancing protocol will be fully enforced and masks will be required for entry at the events.
