Arrival of Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo State to Sokoto State on Tuesday

In a remarkable show of inter-state cooperation and commitment to development, Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo, on Tuesday inaugurated key road projects executed by Gov. Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State.
The projects, which included the Bungudu, Kamba and Emir Yahaya link roads in the state metropolis, signified a significant step forward for the state’s infrastructure.
The inauguration ceremony, attended by dignitaries and residents alike, showcased the importance of collaborative efforts in driving progress across state lines.
In his address, Uzodinma expressed his admiration for Aliyu’s dedication to improving infrastructure in the state.
The governor emphasised the need for continued support from the people to further enhance the state’s development.
“These gigantic projects embarked upon by Gov. Aliyu within 100 days in office are an indication of selfless service in the gentleman.
“I urge the good people of Sokoto to continue to support Aliyu toward fulfilling his desire that the dividends of democracy are not only seen but remain a legacy for the generation,” he said.
Earlier, Aliyu expressed his gratitude to Uzodinma for accepting his invitation and highlighted the importance of collaboration between states in fostering mutual development and progress.
“Our partnership sets an exemplary model for inter-state cooperation in Nigeria, showcasing the potential for shared progress and prosperity,” he said.
Aliyu added the roads’ inauguration marked a significant step toward enhancing infrastructure and economic opportunities in the state.
Meanwhile, Uzodinma had also played a pivotal role in inaugurating the distribution of working tools and disbursing of N50,000 each to 100 graduates of entrepreneurship in the state.
He said the initiative not only empowers young entrepreneurs but also contributed to job creation and economic growth in Sokoto State.
