The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the party is ready to restore the lost glory of Cross River through the enthronement of good governance when voted into office in the March 11 governorship election.
The party’s Chairman in the state, Mr. Venatius Ikem, stated this in Calabar on Saturday during the 5 million man march across major roads in the capital city.
Ikem expressed confidence that the PDP would win the governorship polls as well as emerge victorious in other elections.
He said all that the party appealed for was the neutrality of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security agencies, especially the Police.
He noted that the crowd that trooped out for the march was a testament that the PDP remained the party to beat in Cross River.
“I want to thank everyone who made themselves available here for this walk despite the challenging times that has to do with transportation and cash.
“We may not have made the five-million-man march, but we are quite satisfied with the turnout,” he stated.
