8 Div. NOAWA holds inter faith dinner in Sokoto

The chairperson, Nigeria Army Officers Wives Association, 8 Division Chapter, Mrs. Chinelo Iweora Koughna Friday night organized an inter faith Iftar/Lent Dinner for women in the Sokoto Giginya barracks.

Addressing the women in her welcome address, the chairperson, Mrs. Koughna said, the gathering is not just to eat and make merry but, above all, to also demonstrate that despite the differences in faith, they still share common humanity.

“As we gather here today, God is the one that gives us life, as the holy books teach us. Let us be reminded that despite our different faiths, we share common values, prayers, sacrifices, love, self discipline and compassion.

“Therefore, today’s gathering is not just about breaking our fast together, it is about strengthening unity, promoting peaceful coexistence, and celebrating the spirit of togetherness that binds us as one community”.

While praying for the good health and God’s protection for our gallant security agencies who are making daily sacrifices for the peace of the nation, Mrs. Koughna said,
“may Allah accept our prayers and sacrifices and may God bless us all with peace, good health and prosperity.

“May our homes remain united and our nation continue to grow in strength and harmony, and let us continue to build love and understanding among us”.
