The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has described the news of the death of Dr Ben Okigbo, a medical doctor in Houston and his wife, Theresa who was a nurse, as most shocking and depressing.
In a statement by the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer NIDCOM, Hon. Abike Dabiri, NIDCOM condoled with the family, particularly the children, who are now orphans, as well as members of
the Nigerian diaspora community in the US.
Dr. Ben Okigbo and his wife, Theresa, were found dead in their Sugar Land, Texas home on Friday morning, according to Police.
“NIDCOM commiserates with the Okigbo family and pray unto God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss,” the statement said, stressing that the Commission “will continue to monitor police investigations into the unfortunate incident.”
