
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has said stability remains key to economic development in the country.
Governor Wike said this in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Sir Opunabo Inko-Tariah, while also congratulating Muslims on the completion of the Ramadan fast, wished Muslims across the country happy Eid-el-Fitri celebrations, just as he urged them to continually pray for the stability of the nation.
The governor, however, prayed for wisdom in tackling the nation’s challenges and crisis even as he urged Muslims in Rivers State to remain peaceful as they join their counterparts around the world in celebrating eid el fitri.
Governor Wike assured that the State Government will continue to protect the rights of everyone in the State.
On his part, state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency, Bro Felix Obuah enjoined Muslims in the State to key into the New Rivers Vision of keeping the State clean and environmentally healthy for its residents by ensuring that the mosques and their surroundings are thoroughly sanitized as sacred places of worship.
Bro Obuah, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Jerry Needam, made the charge in his Sallah message to the Muslims for a successful end of 30 Days Ramadan Fast.

The Sole Administrator noted that the prayers and sacrifices of the Muslim brothers for the State government will never be in vain, promising that the present administration under the leadership of Gov Nyesom Wike will do everything humanly and lawfully possible to encourage and support the Muslims residing in the State.
He urged them to continue to give their support to the PDP-led government in the State to achieve set goals of mutual co-existence of all Nigerians in an atmosphere of love, peace and harmony.
“May the good Lord continue to protect and provide your needs even as we look forward to many more Sallah celebrations”, Bro Obuah prayed, believing that the blessings of Eid-el-Fitri are for all Nigerians irrespective of religion.
