The former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prof Wale Ladipo, has warned the electorates against vote buyers during the forthcoming general elections.
Ladipo, who gave the warning while speaking with the media during his birthday Celebration, on Sunday, in Ile-Ife, cautioned that people should not sell their votes as doing so would amount to mortgaging their future.
He appealed to Nigerians to shine their eyes before voting and think of the future of the nation.
“Despite all challenges facing the nation, people should not sell their birthright to the detriment of their future.
“Elections would come and go, Nigerians should seize the opportunity of this election to choose the right leader that would deliver this country from poverty,” he counselled.
He thanked God for sparing the lives of all and sundry to witness 2023 and for allowing him to celebrate his birthday.
According to him, the Lord answers prayers by fire, stressing that his prayers concerning the state’s governorship election was granted.
