Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Dr (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has congratulated the Super Eagles on its two nil victory on Saturday over the Stallions of Burkina Faso at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Omagwa, Rivers State.

A statement by her Press Secretary, Paul Damgbor, said Port Harcourt has become the victory centre for Nigeria’s International matches and attributed the successes recorded by the National Team in Port Harcourt so far to God’s favour on The New Rivers State.

According to Dr. Banigo, the Wike-led Government is a Youth-friendly Governor, committed in creating an enabling environment for sport development, stressing that efforts to make Rivers State the next destination for sport-tourism is in top gear especially with the renewed plans to develop the Mega City Project at the Greater Port Harcourt site at Omagwa and its surrounding towns.

The Deputy Governor expressed gratitude to Port Harcourt fans for turning up en masse to cheer the National Team to victory.
