Gonzaga Jesuit College, Okija wins 25 Awards at the 2026 International STEM Olympiad Grand Finale in Rome

Gonzaga Jesuit College (GJC), Okija, Anambra State, Nigeria, has recorded another remarkable milestone on the global academic stage by winning 25 international awards at the 2026 International STEM Olympiad Grand Finale, held in Rome, Italy, on July 8, 2026.
Competing against some of the brightest students from around the world, the College secured an outstanding 10 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals, 9 Bronze Medals, and 3 Honorable Mentions across the Science, Mathematics, and Engineering and Technology categories.
Adding to this historic achievement, Okeke Somtochukwu and Nwafor Emmanuel Chinedu were each named Overall Second Best in the World, placing Gonzaga Jesuit College among the world’s leading schools in STEM education.

The exceptional performance of Gonzaga Jesuit College at the 2026 International STEM Olympiad Grand Finale reflects the school’s unwavering commitment to excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education.
