Elie Nwokorie, siblings give mom, Nneoma Lolo Nwokorie, a glorious homegoing (See pictures)

United States of America (USA)-based High Chief Elieazar Elie Oluchukwu Nwokorie (Omekannaya), his siblings, his wife, Lolo Dr. Angie Nwokorie, and other relatives and friends gave the Matriarch of the Nwokorie family, Nneoma Lolo Nwokorie Comfort Nwadinafor (nee Onyemaobi) a memorable final homegoing recently in Umuariam Obowo, Imo State.

Nneoma Lolo Nwokorie was aged 83 when she passed on to glory in the US, and her children, relatives and friends from far and near ensured that she got a befitting royal burial programme.

In Nigeria, the programme started with a Service of Songs at Umuahia, the Abia State capital, continued with a Christian Wake Keep in Umuariam, and a Funeral Church Service at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, before interment at her husband, late Chief Nwokorie Michael Ndudi (Nwaeze Efulamba)’s compound.

The reception that followed was very well attended, and has been the talk of the town since, a worthy tribute to the exemplary life that Nneoma Lolo Nwokorie lived, and a testament to the fact that she positively touched the lives of countless people in Umuariam, in Umuahia, across Nigeria, in the US and far beyond.

Here are a few of the pictures from the historic event.
