Consortium celebrates ex-Power Minister, Barth Nnaji at 70, hails contributions to indigenous energy

Sabrud Consortium, an indigenous metre manufacturing company in Nigeria, has felicitated Prof. Barth Nnaji, a former Minister of Power and founder of Geometric Power, Aba, on his 70th birthday.
Mr. Chiso Nwangwu, the Managing Director of the Consortium, gave the commendation in a goodwill message released in Awka on Monday.
Nwangwu said Nnaji’s contributions and legacy in the transformation of Nigeria’s electricity sector, had significantly shaped the power sector for over 25 years.
He described the former minister as an “exceptional engineer, entrepreneur and visionary” who demonstrated that indigenous expertise, innovation, and strategic investment could deliver sustainable solutions across the Nigerian electricity industry.
“Nnaji’s leadership role in developing the Aba Integrated Power Project stands as a landmark achievement that proves that reliable electricity is a catalyst for industrial growth, economic prosperity and improved livelihoods.
“His resilience and foresight continue to inspire stakeholders across the electricity value chain and he enjoys the rare legacy of transforming Nigeria’s power sector as a private investigator.
“Sabrud Consortium Nigeria Ltd proudly honours and celebrates Prof. Barth Nnaji on his 70th birthday.

Nnaji, a renowned Robotic Engineer and Innovator was born in Enugu State on July 13, 1956.
