An Enugu Air aircraft veered off the runway after landing at Benin Airport on Thursday, but all passengers and crew escaped without injuries.
The airline confirmed that the incident involved one of its Embraer regional jets and described it as a runway excursion, not a crash.
In a statement, Enugu Air said everyone on board was safely evacuated, while the aircraft was secured and aviation authorities were informed.
The airline added that an investigation is underway to determine what caused the incident.
Enugu Air also warned that the runway excursion could lead to temporary changes to some flight schedules. It assured affected passengers that they would be contacted and given the necessary support.
Videos shared on social media showed the aircraft off the runway, leading to reports that it had crash-landed. However, the airline clarified that the aircraft only veered off the runway and that there were no casualties.
Enugu Air said the safety of its passengers, crew and operations remains its top priority.
