THE WIDOW’S REVENGE
Frequently the whip-lashing soldiers scared away,
The poor widow selling food by the roadside.
Confiscate the foods and consume their loot;
In the full view of the public caught in disbelief.
The widow and her daughter decided to revenge:
Poisoned the food for sale for the day.
And the armed rogues attacked as usual;
Carried her food away to eat.
From a distance, they watched the soldiers,
As they devoured their stolen food.
Some minutes into the unholy feast,
They began to collapse and wriggle in pains.
Some of them immediately died,
Others to the hospital were rushed,
By other soldiers passing by.
Then in fear the widow and her daughter fled.
